Scrivener: for serious writers and researchersAccording to their website, "Scrivener is a powerful content-generation tool for writers that allows you to concentrate on composing and structuring long and difficult documents. While it gives you complete control of the formatting, its focus is on helping you get to the end of that awkward first draft."
If that seems a little confusing, you're not alone. I first learned of this program while preparing for NaNoWriMo in 2013, and it was invaluable for me. My favorite aspect of the program is the corkboard where you are able to store lots of information in one place, enabling you to easily consult research for your story. I would recommend this program as an alternative to Word or Google Docs for serious writers. When I say serious, what I mean is, people who are working on polishing a piece of writing for iWrite or NaNoWriMo, or something similar. With a $40 price tag, I'm not quick to suggest you use it for everyday projects. |

You want to compress, join, split a pdf. Sure. How about converting a pdf to a word doc, or into excel, how about powerpoint? Yep. Can I convert any of those to a pdf? Uh huh. Did I mention it was free? |
